Abstract

This methodological manual presents the Riaba Nail Precision System (RNPS), an evidence-informed, structured approach to professional nail services that integrates anatomical knowledge with standardized operational protocols for hardware manicure, combined manicure, hardware pedicure, and competitive nail design. RNPS addresses the widely recognized absence of a reproducible, zone-specific execution framework in the nail care profession, a gap that generates inconsistent outcomes and preventable tissue trauma among practitioners with varying levels of training. The manual draws on peer-reviewed dermatological and anatomical literature, occupational safety standards established by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), U.S. state cosmetology board regulations, the European Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, and international competition criteria from bodies such as Nailympia and NAILPRO. Building on this foundation, the document articulates a six-step cognitive process applicable to every procedure, provides detailed stage-by-stage protocols for each service type, defines evidence-based quality criteria, and specifies absolute and relative contraindications rooted in clinical dermatology sources. The complementary Forward Recovery post-procedure protocol by Svitlana Riaba is introduced as an integrated aftercare standard.
